Founded in 1988, Bake Fresh began as a multi-unit Dunkin’ Donuts franchise operator, growing to nearly 20 retail locations within its first decade. Early on, we recognized the importance of centralized production, becoming one of the first franchisees to develop and operate a Central Production Facility to support consistency, quality, and scale. That early commitment to manufacturing excellence laid the foundation for our future.
In 1996, Bake Fresh made a strategic shift from retail operations to dedicated bakery manufacturing, beginning daily fresh production for regional convenience store partners across Virginia. As demand increased and capabilities expanded, Bake Fresh merged with Coppermine Bakery Holdings in 2005, strengthening our operational platform and accelerating our ability to grow with our customers.
That momentum continued with the expansion into new markets and facilities in Rhode Island (2005), Colorado (2010), and Northern California (2012), creating a multi-regional manufacturing network designed to support high-volume retail and convenience channels nationwide.
